Our Lodge

If you come by car, we will show you where to put your car inside for the night.Starting from our lodge, you can visit the 6 other crater lakes in the area. Or observe up to 106 different birds in 24 h. There is no malaria in Debre Zeit, but all beds have mosquito nets.

You can swim in the clean lake water, there are no bilharzias. We have several life-jackets, also for children, you can ask our staff.

If you like to swim in a small swimming pool, especially for your children, there is a pool at 200 m from our lodge. Another Olympic Swimming pool with a second pool for children is in town at the military recreation area. It takes 10 minutes to go there by minibus or Bajaj. There are 2 canoes for free on the lakeside. Ask our staff for the paddles and life jackets. The lake is very deep everywhere and no one can rescue you. Different books and maps about Ethiopia, especially birds, are available.

Breakfast is included in the room price and is served at any time in the morning. If you like to go to town, or visit another lake, ask our staff, we will manage a Bajaj or Minibus. If you need a taxi to go back to Addis, let us know. We can call him.
